My broken wrist in scans and pictures!

Remember you can always do the cliccie for the larger piccie Photobucket

The broken wrist

This was the result of falling down a flight of stairs Photobucket I also had a dislocated elbow btw.

The pins

They’re pretty sharp huh?

Apparantly it was a very mean break and it was decided to place these three pins inside my wrist. Look at how sharp they are Photobucket everytime I moved my pinkie I could atleast feel one of them scrape at the inside of my skin Photobucket

The pins inside my wrist

As you can see the pins were completely buried inside my wristPhotobucket

The wounds being stichted up after the pins were removed

It took quite some force to get them out of my wrist, a nurse had to hold my wrist down while the surgeon used so much force that all I could think was “Please don’t break it againPhotobucket” This is also unfortunately the grossest pic I can give you, I hoped to get a pic of the pins covered in tissue and bloodPhotobucket but they came out remarkebly cleanPhotobucket

While I am still recovering from the wrist and elbow and actually still have physical therapy for both of them, I herewith would like to thank to the entire staff of Sint Fransicus Gasthuis Rotterdam for doing such a great jobPhotobucket PhotobucketPhotobucket  This song I’m dedicating to all of you!

The pins have been removed!

Like hell they are Photobucket

I not only had cast around a good part of my right arm but I also had 3 pins inside my wrist. Everytime if someone asked if it weren’t itching under my cast I would answer “No, but maybe that’s because everytime I move my fingers, I can feel the pins scrape at the inside of my skinPhotobucket“. (This reply always led to horror-struck faces.)

They’re pretty sharp huh?

These pins  were completely buried inside my wristPhotobucket They have been removed last Thursday, while I was partially under. I must say the feeling of having something removed out of my bones was quite intresting, at the very least. I wouldn’t object to experiencing that againPhotobucketDon’t worry, I am not planning to break something againPhotobucketBesides the force that was used scared the hell out of me. A nurse had to hold down my wrist while the surgeon used so much force to remove the pins, that all I could think was “Please, don’t break my wrist againPhotobucket“.

I would love to gross you guys out with a picture of the pins covered in my blood. Unfortunately, a picture of the wounds being sticthed and the long elegant fingers of surgeon Vijgen will have to do.

Since another doctor just went nuclear on my arse when I tried (= I didn’t stand a chance) to discuss the pro’s and cons off a sub-clavicular piercing. (Ever noticed, how all doctors are great at the “Child, I am the parent you’ve never had and right now,  I am very dissapointend in youPhotobucket” lecture?) I’ve let go of the idea of permanent Photobucket foreign objects inside me. Unless, I live to see an RFID chip forced inside me, all for the sake of  “national security” of course Photobucket

Here you can read and see how someone is having that crap planted inside him voluntarily at a hackers conference of all placesPhotobucketWhich reminds me, I still have to read “This Perfect Day” by Ira Levin in which the main character is nicknamed “Chip”.

Btw, here is a scan of my broken wrist, next time I’m in the hospital I’ll see if I can get a scan of my wrist with the pins insidePhotobucket

Shame, something I do not haz

Yesterday night, I was in bed (alone Photobucket) and surfing  the net where I did a schocking discovery.

Linus Torvalds is alive!

Seriously, I have been using Linux on and off for se7en years now, and all that time I just assumed Mr. Torvalds has been 6 feet under for a loooong time. Yeah, I know ”assumption is the mother of all f*ck ups”, so zip it Photobucket

I made this schocking, things willl neva eva be the same, discovery while doing research for a future article. I stumbled on the following quote by Mr. Torvalds

“Gnome 3 is an unholy mess”

I was like, wait wut???!!! Wasn’t Gnome 3 released somewhere early 2011 Photobucket Surely, Mr. Torvalds isn’t speaking from the grave? I mean he is 1337 h4x0r and all, but no one is that 1337 right? So, I went to wikipedia to check upon Mr. Torvalds status quo and yes he is alive at the moment.

Well, at least I wasn’t lying Photobucket when I wrote this

As you can see this will be the blog about all those Linux questions you NEVER dared to ask (for a good reason)Photobucket

Or when I wrote this statement, which is full of promises about the disasters that lay ahead!

Yup, this will also be the blog where you can admit that you don’t know Jack sh*t about Linux, but you are going to try it anyway Photobucket

Welcome, grab a beer and let’s partay!!!!!!

Hi, I am Roja and right now I have a broken wrist and a dislocated elbow, both injuries happened on the right hand side. To kill time, I decided to dive into CentOS and blog about the frustration and disasters that lay ahead Photobucket

I am not new to linux, I have used Ubuntu, eeebuntu and Debian. The latter has led to quite some horrific experiences Photobucket That being said the goal off this blog is showing; that Linux isn’t scary at all. Hey, if I manage to get it working, then you definately should be able to get it working too!

I will ask you to be patient, as I only have my left hand at my disposal right now.  My right arm is almost coverd in a Hello Kitty Photobucket pink cast Photobucket

Let’s start the party Photobucket with one of my fave Geeky vids of all time!
